Learn Reiki (ray-key)
Reiki is a Japanese word that means universal/spiritual life force energy. It is the energy of every living being. In my Reiki trainings, I like to keep things simple, practical, and grounded. I believe all beings have the ability to promote healing, and I will be an encourager of you trusting your intuition in this process. Requirements of learning Reiki: a desire to help others, strong boundaries, following the code of ethics and continued self-work.
Reiki 1: Entry Level
In Reiki 1, you'll learn hand positions, how to provide a healing on yourself and others, including animals, how to clear your energy, Reiki ethics, and the history of Reiki. For 21 days, you will do self-healing cleanse your energy and raise your vibration. You may work on others, but I suggest you work only on yourself during the 21-day period to become familiar with what is your energy vs. what is someone else's energy. You will practice on yourself and on me, so you feel certain you are doing it correctly.
Reiki 2: Intermediate
Reiki 2 is where you will learn the sacred symbols. The symbols allow you to do distant (remote) healings, provide inner child work, ask specific questions for yourself or the person you are working on, and open to a new level of intuition. At this level, I recommend accepting payment or some sort of trade for your service. This level is not for everybody, so if you feel the call to it, I suggest pursuing the calling as new doors will open, new levels of healing and a deepening of your connection to your inuition.
Reiki Master: Advanced
Reiki Mastership or level 3, is where you learn the final symbol in the Usui tradition. This is a very powerful symbol, used in session for those that are well on the path of healing and doing consistent inner work. Your discernment with using this symbol is important, especially for the receiver. In this level, we refresh levels 1-3 and practice using this symbol in a distant session. Your completion of this level makes you a candidate to become a Reiki Master Teacher, which would allow you to teach Reiki.
